Objective:

To strengthen students' decision making skills by giving them the opportunity to analyze their thoughts, feelings and reactions to the poetry.

Poetry Reflection:

Ask students to reflect on a poem and then write their thoughts about it.

In cooperative groups or in whole group discussion, have students share their thoughts about

what the poetry meant to them and what they thought the author was trying to say.

​

 

Student-Created Poetry:

Have students write own poem(s) based on the artwork.

 

Student-Created Art:

Have students draw their own artwork based on the poem(s).
